Carolyn & Jason completed the GOW as part of their honeymoon and loved seeing the Great Ocean Road from nature's perspective. They loved the walk from Milanesia to Moonlight Head- especially the amazing coastal views and really enjoyed the tranquility. Leaving a lasting memory was the fantastic jacuzzi they had in Fiji Cottage and the young kangaroos playing in front of their cottage. Loved the Walk and really enjoyed the nature surrounding them.

We were very fortunate to host four Victorian/Queensland nurses (Ailsa, Leah, Karen & Sarah) completing the GOW as they met up with a couple of Queenslanders (Holly and Amy). What a fantastic friendly group as they made instant friends and loved the walk and its amazing scenery. They were very impressed with the Moonlight Head mob/troupe of eastern grey kangaroos and the amazing scenery of the Otways. Really loved their walk experience- the nurses second walk together and look forward to many more ahead. Loved the meals at Southern Anchorage and gave Drew's sticky date pudding recipe a tick!
It's great when you''re away from home and you meet some really lovely people who take you in as a daughter.
This is exactly what happened on the walk as our Norwegian visitor Elizabeth made immediate friends with the family group Kirkwood from South Australia, who displayed true Australian friendship characteristics and made sure Reinskou had a meal & walking group to feel part of. I was really impressed with this group's ability to put the drizzly weather behind them and soldier on when conditions were far from ideal. Visiting University lecturers Beth and Michael loved the GOW and especially all the different habitats and local ecosystems. They just couldn't get over the changing scenery and nature from coastal vistas, 12 Apostles Rock formations, river estuaries, coastal dunes, beach walks... They found this part of the walk so amazing and loved the amazing wildlife.
